Description:

Sponsored by the University of Iowa's NCTE Student Affiliate, this is a gallery available to local writers. Iowa City is full of writers: high school students, published authors, diarists, mathematicians, doctors, bus drivers, baristas, athletes, and of course college students. UI calls itself "The Writing University" and is the only USA UNESCO City of Literature. We like to make literature here! We invite our gallery authors to offer local coffee house readings, a few evenings during the year.

Any genre, under 1000 words. accompanied by a "process piece," a short (less than 500 words) personal account of yourself as a writer--and the process of writing this piece. Submit online by Monday, October 12.
