The Underground Railroad in Cass County
| Description: |
This gallery is for oral histories that have been passed down about the operation of the Underground Railroad in Cass County, Michigan. This gallery is sponsored by the Minority Coalition. We are interested in stories that have been handed down, as well as responses to the upcoming mural depicting the Kentucky Raid of 1847 to be painted in downtown Cassopolis. |
Oral histories should be between 250 and 500 words using 12 point Times New Roman. All stories should be titled, and their author's name should be disclosed.
Authors will receive notice of approval or rejection of their submissions. You may submit more than one story.
You are eligible to submit one composition (or a link to a composition already posted on the Internet) per gallery. You should not submit the same composition to more than one gallery. When you click "contribute my writing now," you will be prompted for information about your piece and about yourself. You can share this information with readers through the site search engine, or to keep it sheltered from searches. The more information you allow to be public, the more readers for your piece.
Please visit Gallery Guidelines prior to submitting a contribution to the National Gallery of Writing.
