 The First Amendment in Schools
Description: Schools must not only teach the First Amendment; they also must find ways to model and apply the principles they are charged with teaching. In this gallery, students write editorials about whether or not schools are providing an open environment conducive to exercising their constitutional rights.
The Newseum offers museum-goers an experience that blends five centuries of news history with up-to-the-second technology and hands-on exhibits. Featuring 14 galleries, 15 theaters, two state-of-the-art broadcast studios and more than a dozen additional exhibits, the museum takes visitors behind the scenes to learn how and why news is made.
